• Outstanding business or commercial success, including enterprise transformation
• Highly effective management, R&D or clinical techniques
• Recognition as a leader by colleagues, customers or the public
• A track record as a thought leader
• An ethical stance or promotion of a respectful, supportive work environment
• Being an excellent role model or inspiring others in the industry

Innovative Start-Up Award is for companies with <50 employees or <6 years old, working in surgical robotics who have demonstrated one or more of the following during the previous 12 months:-

• Outstanding technological or commercial success
• A highly innovative, ground-breaking product, service or technology with potentially wide-ranging and/or substantial benefits
• Rapid growth or large-scale investment
• A positive stance on ethics/values

Outstanding Company Award is for established companies working in surgical robotics who have demonstrated one or more of the following during the previous 12 months:-

• Outstanding business or commercial success
• A highly novel and/or inventive product, process, service, technology or procedure
• Policies, processes, products or services with a positive environmental or societal impact
• Recognition as an industry leading company by customers or the public
• A positive stance on ethics/values
• Being an excellent employer – inspiring employees to work collaboratively or creatively in a healthy environment

Outstanding Healthcare Provider Award is for healthcare providers who have demonstrated one or more of the following during the previous 12 months:-

• Significant growth in volume of robotic procedures
• Superior patient outcomes and satification rates through robotic surgery programme
• Expansion of robotic surgery programme to new specialities or new systems
• Early adoption of new robotic platforms
• Community engagement and outreach to raise awareness of benefits of robotic surgery in local communities

Software Innovation Award is for companies or teams developing software for surgical robotics who have demonstrated one or more of the following during the previous 12 months:-

• A highly innovative software platform, system or capability for surgical robotics
• Software that significantly enhances the performance, safety or usability of robotic surgical systems
• A novel approach to areas such as control, AI, imaging, connectivity or data integration
• Software that enables new capabilities or applications within robotic surgery
• Potentially wide-ranging or game-changing benefits for surgical robotics, healthcare providers or patients

Groundbreaking Technology Award is for a technology (which can be a component, new material, module, software, system, product, process or procedure) in surgical robotics which has shown one or more of the following during the previous 12 months:-

• Substantial benefits to equipment manufacturers, practitioners or patients
• A highly innovative, inventive or ground-breaking approach or procedure
• Potentially wide ranging or game-changing benefits within surgical robotics, the wider society or the environment
